8 Days Tour from Casablanca to Morocco via Fez Desert Merzouga Marrakech

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat
Pick up at Casablanca airport. Visit the Hassan II Mosque. Departure to Rabat. Visit of the city of Rabat and the monuments: Alcazaba of the Oudaias, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Rabat – Fez :
On the way to Meknes, we border the Mamora forest. Arrival in Meknes, a city that reached its heyday thanks to Sultan Mulay Ismail. At 27 km from Meknes are the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, and also visit the holy city Moulay Idriss. Continuation to Fez. Dinner and overnight at Riad .

Day 3: Fez – Fez :
Free day in FEZ. As we enter the streets of its medina (old city) we will feel that time has gone backwards: the guild structure is still at work, the narrowness of its streets allows no other means of transport than donkeys and a constant tingling of people move through the labyrinthine alleys in the midst of which

We will be surprised by neighborhoods such as the Andalusian and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools. Fez has always been associated with study and religiosity, and remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. After visiting the medina another option is to walk aimlessly through the streets of Fez-Jdid, where the royal palace, the mellah (Jewish quarter) and the oldest mosque in Fez. Day 4: Fez – Ifrane Azrou – Midelt – Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga :
After breakfast, departure to Midelt through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Pass through Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important center of craftsmanship specializing in cedar woodwork. After the Zad pass (2178m / 7146ft), we arrive in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, we descend towards Erfoud and Errachidia through the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm trees. Continuation to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the afternoon we will leave the 4×4 and take the camels to cross the great dunes of the desert for about two hours. Night in the heart of the desert in nomad tents (tents) enjoying the stars, the moon, the sunset, the sunrise …. Dinner and overnight in tents (an unforgettable night).

Day 5:Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Draa Valley -Ouarzazate :
In the morning we return by camel to the hotel for breakfast and a refreshing shower. Visit to Khamlia, original village of Mali, where we will relax with a tea while enjoying a small concert of gnawa music. We will then take a short ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi in 4×4, an extension of sandy desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, over 250 meters high, connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar and with the mountains bordering Algeria in the background. we will make a stop at a panoramic point where we can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. We will then head towards Rissani, the first imperial city, with its interesting market, where the nomads from the surrounding area come to sell their livestock and buy the goods they need. There you can taste if you like the tasty Berber pizza (only cooked here) and we will continue our way to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley, one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Stops to contemplate the charming adobe kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the route and the interesting geological formations of the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech :
Breakfast and visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou (World Heritage Site). The trip is a succession of highlights. Today is another of them. The 200 km that separate Ouarzazate from Marrakech run through the High Atlas. The road should be traveled slowly, because of its beauty and because it is a mountain pass that crosses the Atlas at almost 2,300 meters. To round off the spectacular day, we will follow the old caravan route that linked the two cities through the Ounila Valley, where there are kasbahs built in caves and that will also take us to Telouet. And we continue to the red city of Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation according to selected hotel category.

Day 7: Marrakech – Marrakech :
Free day in Marrakech, a city famous for its Jemaa el Fna square, which will occupy much of our time: an amalgam of aromas, sounds and sensations unrepeatable. The city also has countless places to wander and enjoy: the Majorelle Gardens, the Menara, the Saadian Tombs, walks through the medina or the mellah (the old Jewish quarter), the route of the ramparts and the modern city (Gueliz) with its Western ways of life. Accommodation in a hotel according to selected hotel category (Visit of Marrakech).

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca Airport
At the agreed time, transfer to Casablanca airport and departure for your return flight. End of our services.
