Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Pick up by a guide of our team Travelers in Morocco, from the airport to your Riad / Hotel possibility to take a first contact with the city visiting the JAMAA AL IFNA square and surroundings, Dinner in the open air stalls that are in the square and accommodation in the hotel or Riad.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Departure after breakfast crossing the high Atlas through the port of TIZI IN TICHKA (2,260m altitude), passing through Berber villages to reach the fortified village of AIT BEN HADDO free time to visit it at leisure, lunch in the village and continue to OUARZAZATE. Dinner and hotel accommodation.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley
After breakfast we leave to visit the city of OUARZAZATE Considered the great gateway to the desert and place from which depart the great expeditions, highlighting the Kasbah of Taourirt, and the Main Palace of Glaoui, the great Pacha of southern Morocco, places to visit. We continue to the VALLEY OF ROSES, through SKOURA, BOUMALNE DADES, to reach the Dades Gorges where we have accommodation and dinner.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Departure by a road dotted with Kasbahs all different. After several stops, we will arrive at one of the highlights of the South: The TODRA GORGES. The Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty, is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. We continue south, free lunch on the way and continue to the desert to reach the impressive MERZOUGA Dunes. Free time to climb the dunes and enjoy the sunset, after dinner a Berber show with drums awaits us. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
Breakfast. We surround ERG CHABBI, an extension of sandy desert where the Great Dune of MOROCCO is located, connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar, with the mountains bordering Algeria in the background. Stop at an oasis and continue to a nomadic settlement where we will learn some secrets of their life and customs. Stop in KHAMILIA village where its people are originally from MALI, there we can enjoy their live gwana music while tasting a delicious tea. Return to the lodge, lunch and departure by camel on a route of an hour and a half that will take us to the foot of the Great Dune, wrapped by the beautiful sunset of the desert. We will sleep in a haima in the heart of the desert under a spectacular blanket of stars.
Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Zagora
We wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return by camel to the lodge. Shower and breakfast, early departure to RISSANI Visit of the city, and if it coincides, also its market. Continue through the arid and at the same time interesting landscapes of the pre-desert to reach the city of ZAGORA, city from which once departed the caravans for a long journey to reach TOMBUCTU, ZAGORA is also the administrative center from which dominates the entire Draa Valley and the Oasis of the same name, considered the largest in MOROCCO as well as the richest in the production of dates. Dinner and overnight at Hotel or Riad.
Day 7: Zagora – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, departure to OUARZAZATE crossing the sublime Draa Valley with its parade of palm trees, visit the Berber village of AGDEZ, cross the Anti Atlas (1660 m altitude).stops to take pictures, we continue to the Berber village TADART where we will rest and have time for lunch, afternoon departure to MARRAKECH. Transfer to the hotel / Riad, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Marrakech – Airport
Breakfast, free morning to contemplate the red city and buy the last purchases. At the agreed time transfer to the airport end of our 8 Days Morocco Tour from Marrakech.
