After breakfast we will visit Fez, a city that takes us back to the Middle Ages, in which its medieval Medina stands out, with the Medersas (Islamic universities) of Attarine and Bou Anania, the Nejjarine Square and Fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum and the Karaouine Mosque. Lunch and in the afternoon visit to the souks. Overnight in Riyadh.
The land becomes arid and full of spectacular geological formations and deep green valleys, such as the Ziz Valley.
We will begin to see the typical adobe architecture, palm trees, some distant Kasbahs… we are at the gates of the desert.
We arrive at the impressive Dunes of Merzouga and after the Hospitality Tea, we will leave the bags in the rooms and go up to the first dunes that are next to the hostel and take the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
After dinner we will enjoy a small Berber music show with drums and castanets. Accommodation in the hostel.
We are already in the desert! After a copious and rich breakfast, we will surround the Erg Chebbi, an extension of the sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, more than 250 meters high, and we will connect by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar and with the mountains that border Algeria in the background.
Stop at the oasis of Tissardmin and we will continue towards a nomadic settlement where we will discover some of the secrets of their life and customs. Later stop at a panoramic point where we can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole.
We will arrive at the village of Khamlia, originally from Mali, where we will relax with tea while enjoying a small concert of spiritual Gnawa music. Return to the lodge, lunch and around 4:00 p.m.
we will depart in a caravan of dromedaries to the Haimas camp (approximately 1 hour) and, before arriving, we will be able to enjoy the sunset and stretch our legs a bit before reaching the haimas Upon arrival at the camp we will be offered a Hospitality tea, as is customary, and before dinner we will take the opportunity to climb the great dune or simply those that are near the camp and enjoy the peace and silence that the moment and the place offers us. We will sleep in the Haima under a blanket of stars in the heart of the desert.
We woke up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return by dromedary to the hostel, shower and breakfast, departure to Rissani, visit its market, which is the most important in the south, where all the desert nomads go to do their shopping, then we leave for Erfoud where we will visit the fossilized marble factory and continue towards the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.
We will arrive at one of the strong points of the South: The Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra River has formed a gorge with vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty; It is a climber’s paradise and a unique place.
Lunch at the site and a half-hour walk to see the Gorges in peace. In the afternoon we continue towards the Vallé del dadès passing through Boumalne. Dinner and night in the Gorges of Dadés.
After breakfast, we go up to see the Gorges from above and return to the Dadès Valley and when we arrive at the Kasbah of Aït Youl where we turn right along a track that allows us to admire wild and lesser-known landscapes, there we will visit a family who still lives in caves in the Vallé de Boutagrar, We continue through the Vallé de las Rosas to meet Kelaa M’gouna. Lunch in the village, then continuation to the palm grove of Skoura, to then arrive in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, the morning is dedicated to the visit of Ouarzazate: Kasbah of Taourirt, Kasbah of Tifoultoute, Film studios. Then departure to the Fortified town of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its famous Kasbah (Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO).
In this spectacular setting, renowned films such as Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penélope Cruz or Joya del Nile have been shot, lunch on site and trip to Marrakech via the highest port of Tizi N’Tichka We visit the ARGAN Oil cooperative , where we discover the production process and they will explain the innumerable benefits it has for the human body.
Arrival in Marrakech around 6:00 p.m. Free time to discover the famous Jamaa el Fna Square. Dinner there. Overnight in Riyadh.
